Three days of high winds and bad weather have caused delays at all UK major ports and airports. The Ports of Felixstowe and Liverpool have suffered most with almost no cargo operations for the last three days. Airports have delayed and diverted flights as airlines try to cope with temporary closures. Many bridges and exposed trunk roads have been closed to commercial vehicles after several have been blown over. Forecasts are that the problems will continue into the weekend compounding existing delays.
